This Privacy Policy describes how NovaPulse Port Scan (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application on Android. The App is published by Vasa Serafin.
On-device LAN scan. CIDR, port lists, open-port results, and saved scan history are processed on the device. We do not operate a scan or telemetry server. Use only on networks you own or have written permission to test.
Summary
- We do not sell your personal information.
- On-device first. TCP probes run from your phone to hosts you specify. We do not collect scan results.
- No cloud AI or machine learning. Service names come from a static port table on the device.
- Local data stays local. Scan results, last-20 history (Pro), and settings live in the app until you clear them or uninstall. Uninstalling removes app storage.
Information we process
- Scan configuration — the CIDR and port list you enter. Stored on-device. Not uploaded to us.
- Scan results and Pro history — open host:port rows, latency, and static service labels. Pro keeps the last 20 sessions in on-device storage so they survive app kill. CSV export stays on-device until you share the file. Not uploaded to us.
- Network access — the App uses INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE to open short TCP connections to the hosts you scan and, on Lite, to load ads. Public / non-private ranges are blocked by default.
- Purchase status — Google Play confirms No Ads (INAPP
com.vasaserafin.portscan.noads or SUBS com.vasaserafin.portscan.noadssub). Extra entitlement com.novapulse.portscan.pro still entitles if present. We store a local entitlement flag only.
- Advertising (Lite only) — Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data per Google’s Privacy Policy. A banner may show on the scan screen. A full-screen ad may show once on first open and after every 5th scan. UMP consent is requested before ads.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not upload your CIDR, port lists, scan results, or CSV exports to our servers.
- We do not require a cloud account to scan.
- We do not use location or microphone permissions.
- We do not scan public internet hosts by default.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Contract — providing LAN port scan and ads-free features you request.
- Consent — personalized ads in Lite where required (Google UMP).
Retention and deletion
Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage removes local scan results, Pro history, and the entitlement flag. Ad partners and the Play Store may retain purchase or ad data under their own policies. A CSV you already shared is under your control.
Your rights
Depending on your region you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Because scan data is stored locally, deletion is typically achieved by uninstalling or clearing app data. Contact vasa_serafin@hotmail.com.
