This Privacy Policy describes how NovaPulse Ping Trace (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application on Android. The App is published by Vasa Serafin.
On-device LAN ping. Hosts, TCP/443 probe results, hop lists, saved hosts, and interval-monitor samples are processed on the device. We do not operate a ping, traceroute, or telemetry server. Use only on networks you own or have written permission to test.
Summary
- We do not sell your personal information.
- On-device first. TCP connect probes run from your phone to private or local IP literals you enter. We do not collect ping or trace results.
- No cloud AI or machine learning. Timing and hop lists are local TCP/443 measurements — not ICMP and not a remote analyzer.
- Local data stays local. Saved hosts, last-run monitor samples (Pro), and settings live in the app until you clear them or uninstall. Uninstalling removes app storage.
Information we process
- Host input — the IPv4 or IPv6 literal you enter. Stored on-device if you tap Save host (Lite: up to 5). Not uploaded to us. Public and non-private addresses are blocked.
- Ping / traceroute results — TCP/443 success, RTT, loss, and hop lines for this session. Shown on-screen. Not uploaded to us.
- Pro interval-monitor samples — host, timestamp, RTT, sequence, success, and detail persist in on-device storage (
interval_monitor_last_run.txt, last 500) so they survive app kill. CSV export stays on-device until you share the file via the Android share sheet. Not uploaded to us.
- Network access — the App uses INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE to open short TCP connections to port 443 on the hosts you probe and, on Lite, to load ads.
- Purchase status — Google Play confirms No Ads (INAPP
com.vasaserafin.pingtrace.noads or SUBS queried as the same id; extra SUBS com.vasaserafin.pingtrace.noadssub). Extra entitlement com.novapulse.pingtrace.pro still entitles if present. We store a local entitlement flag only.
- Advertising (Lite only) — Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data per Google’s Privacy Policy. A banner may show on the ping / trace screen. An interstitial may show every 5 successful ping or traceroute runs. UMP consent is requested before ads.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not upload your hosts, ping results, hop lists, monitor samples, or CSV exports to our servers.
- We do not require a cloud account to ping or trace.
- We do not use location or microphone permissions.
- We do not probe public internet hosts by default.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Contract — providing LAN ping / traceroute and ads-free features you request.
- Consent — personalized ads in Lite where required (Google UMP).
Retention and deletion
Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage removes local saved hosts, last-run monitor samples, and the entitlement flag. Ad partners and the Play Store may retain purchase or ad data under their own policies. A CSV you already shared is under your control.
Your rights
Depending on your region you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Because probe data is stored locally, deletion is typically achieved by uninstalling or clearing app data. Contact vasa_serafin@hotmail.com.
