This Privacy Policy describes how NovaPulse Photo Scrub (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application on Android. The App is published by Vasa Serafin.
On-device scrub. Photos you pick are read on the device. EXIF, GPS, camera serial, and timestamps are stripped locally. The original file is never overwritten. We do not operate a photo or metadata server.

- Local data stays local. Scrubbed copies you save go to Pictures/PhotoScrub on this phone. Uninstalling removes app storage (gallery copies you saved remain until you delete them).
Information we process
- Photos you pick — opened through the system picker or a folder you grant. Processed on-device. Not uploaded to us.
- EXIF metadata in those files — GPS, camera make/model, serial, and timestamps are read only to preview and strip. Not uploaded to us.
- Scrubbed copies — written on-device (cache, then Pictures/PhotoScrub if you save). Share uses Android FileProvider at your request. Not uploaded to us.
- Purchase status — Google Play confirms No Ads (INAPP
com.vasaserafin.photoscrub.noads or SUBS com.vasaserafin.photoscrub.noadssub) or Pro (com.novapulse.photoscrub.pro). We store a local entitlement flag only.
- Advertising (Lite only) — Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data per Google’s Privacy Policy. A banner may show on the scrub screen; a full-screen ad may show once on first open and every 5 successful scrubs. UMP consent is requested before ads.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not upload your photos or EXIF to our servers.
- We do not overwrite the original file.
- We do not require a cloud account to scrub.
- We do not use location or microphone permissions. GPS values come from the file’s EXIF, not live location.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Contract — providing EXIF strip, batch queue, and ads-free features you request.
- Consent — personalized ads in Lite where required (Google UMP).
Retention and deletion
Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage removes local app data and cached scrub copies. Files you saved to Pictures/PhotoScrub remain in your gallery until you delete them. Ad partners and the Play Store may retain purchase or ad data under their own policies.
Your rights
Depending on your region you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Because photos are processed locally, deletion is typically achieved by uninstalling, clearing app data, and deleting any copies you saved. Contact vasa_serafin@hotmail.com.
