This Privacy Policy describes how Fair Split (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application on Android. The App is published by Vasa Serafin.
On-device ledger. People names, expense amounts, and settlement math stay on the device. We do not operate a bill-split server. Fair Split does not move money between accounts.

Information we process
- People names and expense amounts — stored on-device. Not uploaded to us.
- Purchase status — Google Play confirms No Ads (INAPP
com.vasaserafin.fairsplit.noads or SUBS com.vasaserafin.fairsplit.noadssub; legacy adsfree still entitles). We store a local entitlement flag only.
- Advertising (Lite only) — Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and ad interaction data per Google’s Privacy Policy. A banner may show on primary tabs; a full-screen ad may show on first open and after hard-coded action counts (every 5th expense, every 3rd settle). UMP consent is requested before ads.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not upload your ledger to our servers.
- We do not require a cloud account.
- We do not process payments between roommates. The App only calculates who owes whom.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
- Contract — providing the ledger, settlement, and ads-free features you request.
- Consent — personalized ads in Lite where required (Google UMP).
Retention and deletion
Uninstalling the App or clearing its storage removes local people, expenses, and settings. Ad partners and the Play Store may retain purchase or ad data under their own policies.
Your rights
Depending on your region you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Local deletion is typically achieved by uninstalling or clearing app data. Contact vasa_serafin@hotmail.com.
